Silmarils

The Silmarils are three legendary jewels created by Fëanor, the greatest of the Noldor, in Valinor during the Years of the Trees. Each Silmaril contained the unmarred light of the Two Trees of Valinor, the source of light in Aman before their destruction. The gems were of extraordinary beauty and power and soon became the most coveted artifacts in Middle-earth.
