Nioznian is a fictional language created by J.R.R. Tolkien for his Middle-earth legendarium, primarily featured in his works *The Hobbit* and *The Lord of the Rings*. It is the language of the Noldor, one of the three Elven kindreds, and is closely associated with the Sindar and the Noldorin dialects. Nioznian is often considered a refined and ancient form of Quenya, another of Tolkien’s constructed languages, reflecting its use among the most noble and learned of the Elves.

The name "Nioznian" derives from the Sindarin word *Niódhel*, meaning "Children of the Stars," a title given to the Noldor. Tolkien’s linguistic works suggest that Nioznian was spoken by the Noldor before their exile from Valinor, though its exact phonetic and grammatical details were not fully developed in his writings. It is described as a language of great beauty and elegance, with a rich vocabulary and complex syntax, often used in poetry and high ceremony.
