Nganasans
The Nganasans are an indigenous people of the Arctic region of northern Siberia, Russia. They form one of the Samoyedic groups of the Uralic language family and are closely connected to other Arctic peoples in the Taymyr (Taimyr) Peninsula area. The Nganasan population is small compared with other peoples of Russia, consisting of a few thousand individuals, with many living in rural communities alongside other regional populations and in some cases in towns.
