Neutronszóródásokkal is a Hungarian term referring to neutron scattering phenomena. It describes the process where neutrons interact with a material and change their direction and/or energy. This interaction provides valuable information about the structure and dynamics of the material at an atomic or molecular level.

There are several types of neutron scattering, broadly categorized by the energy transfer involved. Elastic scattering occurs when the neutron's energy remains essentially unchanged after the collision. This type of scattering is primarily used to study the static structure of materials, such as the arrangement of atoms in crystals or the size and shape of molecules in a liquid.
