Nestarm
Nestarm is a fictional species introduced in the novel "The Starbound Chronicle." They are described as avian-like humanoids originating from the planet Aeridor, a world characterized by its vast, windswept plains and towering, crystalline structures. The Nestarm possess large, feathered wings that allow for sustained flight, and their bodies are adapted for an aerial lifestyle, with hollow bones and a lightweight build. Their primary form of communication is through a complex series of chirps, whistles, and wing movements, though they have developed a rudimentary understanding of universal translators for interspecies interactions. Nestarm society is organized into nomadic flocks, each led by an elder known as the Sky-Caller, who is responsible for guiding the flock and maintaining their traditions. Their diet consists mainly of airborne plankton and small, flying insects, which they catch with remarkable agility while in flight. The Nestarm are known for their peaceful nature and their deep spiritual connection to the sky and the winds. Their technological development is limited, focusing primarily on tools and shelters that complement their natural abilities rather than replacing them.
