Nepravomocný

Nepravomocný is a Czech legal term describing a decision, such as a judgment or an administrative ruling, that has not yet gained final enforceability. It indicates that the decision can still be challenged by ordinary remedies (for example an appeal) and may be altered or overturned by a higher authority. The opposite term is pravomocný, meaning final and enforceable.

The status of a decision as nepravomocný typically applies during the period in which the parties may exercise the right to appeal or other prescribed remedies. Once the period for appeal has passed or the appeal is resolved, the decision generally becomes pravomocný. In some situations, a nepravomocný decision may be enforceable earlier, for example under rules that provide for provisional or preliminary enforceability, but such cases depend on specific legal provisions and court orders.
