The term blends "neoprene" with "resin" and is found mainly in speculative discussions and early design concepts rather than in established material catalogs. There is no widely recognized definition or standard specification for neoprenrester in peer‑reviewed literature or industry standards.

Conceptually, neoprenrester envisions dispersing neoprene domains within or bonding neoprene to a thermoset or thermoplastic resin. The aim is to retain the elasticity and damping of neoprene while improving abrasion resistance, temperature stability, and chemical resistance through the resin phase. Reported theoretical advantages include enhanced environmental durability and dimensional stability; potential drawbacks include complex interfacial adhesion, processing challenges, and higher cost compared with conventional neoprene products.

Manufacturing approaches described in speculative discussions include lamination of neoprene sheets with resin sheets, co‑extrusion of elastomer–resin blends, or surface‑initiated curing to form interpenetrating networks. Bonding between the elastomer and resin requires adhesion promoters or functionalized resins, and curing conditions must balance vulcanization of neoprene with resin curing.

In theory, neoprenrester could find use in marine seals, protective equipment, and industrial gaskets where flexibility, water resistance, and environmental durability are valued. However, as of now, neoprenrester remains a theoretical or speculative concept rather than a commercial material, with no standard properties or validated performance data.
