Neliömaili
Neliömaili is the Finnish word for square mile, a unit of area. It is part of the imperial and US customary systems of measurement. A square mile is defined as the area of a square with sides that are one mile long. Therefore, one square mile is equal to 640 acres. In metric terms, one square mile is approximately equal to 2.59 square kilometers or 2,590,000 square meters. The square mile is commonly used for measuring land areas, particularly in the United States and the United Kingdom. It is often employed in contexts such as the size of cities, counties, states, or countries, as well as for agricultural land and other large geographical areas. The term neliömaili specifically refers to this unit in the Finnish language, though Finland primarily uses the metric system for measurements.
