Navoria

Navoria is a fictional sovereign state frequently used in speculative fiction and role-playing settings. In most narratives it is a temperate coastal nation on the eastern shore of the continent of Valara, bordered by Ardent to the north and Lysara to the south.

The country spans varied terrain, from lowland river deltas along the coast to rolling highlands inland. The Varn and Lito rivers run through the heartland, and the climate is maritime temperate with distinct seasons.

Navoria began as a loose federation of city-states in the medieval era and formed the Navorian Compact in the early nineteenth century after independence from a regional empire. Modern governance emerged through constitutional reforms and civilian rule.

Navoria is a constitutional parliamentary republic. The president serves as ceremonial head of state, while the prime minister and cabinet exercise executive power. A bicameral legislature—the Senate and Assembly—passes laws, and an independent judiciary reviews constitutional issues.

The state is divided into twelve provinces, each with local assemblies and governors appointed by the central government. The economy is mixed, emphasizing services, information technology, tourism, wine production, and forestry. The currency is the Navorian crown (NC).

The population is around eight million. The official language is Navorian; regional dialects and minority languages are recognized. The society is secular and multilingual, with cultural traditions in literature, music, and annual harvest and lantern festivals.

Education is broadly accessible, with compulsory schooling and public universities. The transport network includes rail, roads, and a major port that supports regional trade.
