Naruují

Naruují is a verb form found in Slavic languages, most commonly associated with Czech or Slovak, and represents the third-person plural present tense of verbs meaning to disturb, disrupt, or infringe. The diacritic-bearing equivalents are narušují in Czech and narušujú in Slovak. The variant naruují without diacritics is not standard in either language and is typically the result of diacritic omission or transcription error.

Etymology and sense: The form derives from the verb narušovat (Czech) or narúšovať/narušovať (Slovak), built on the root ruš- “to disturb” with a prefix that emphasizes disruption. Narušovat/narušovať describe actsof violating norms, rules, or calm, rather than simple action. The perfective counterpart is narušit (Czech) or narušiť (Slovak), used for a single, completed disruption.

Usage: In Czech, narušují is used to denote ongoing disturbances performed by plural subjects (they disturb). In Slovak, narušujú serves the same function. Typical objects include rules, order, peace, privacy, or concentration. Examples: Czech: Hluk narušuje jejich soustředění. Slovak: Hluk narušujú ich sústredenie. More broadly, the verb can appear in legal, policy, or news contexts when describing violations or disruptions of process or rights.

Orthography and variants: When written without diacritics, the standard forms narušují (Czech) or narušujú (Slovak) are sometimes rendered as naruují in non-diacritic texts, but this is not the correct non-diacritic form in either language. Proper ASCII transliterations may vary by system.
