NarLP

NarLP, or Narrative Language Processing, is a subfield of natural language processing (NLP) that focuses on understanding, generating, and manipulating narrative texts. These texts are characterized by their sequential structure, causal relationships, and the presence of characters, events, and settings. NarLP aims to develop computational models and algorithms that can analyze and generate narratives, enabling applications such as automated story generation, narrative summarization, and interactive storytelling.

One of the key challenges in NarLP is the need to capture the complex relationships between events and characters in a narrative. This requires not only understanding the syntax and semantics of the text but also recognizing the underlying narrative structure, such as plot points, themes, and character development.
