Nanotransduction

Nanotransduction refers to the process by which nanostructures or nanomaterials convert physical stimuli into biochemical signals or electrical outputs at the molecular or cellular level. This phenomenon is inspired by biological transduction mechanisms, such as how cells detect and respond to environmental cues through receptors and signaling pathways. In nanotechnology, nanotransduction exploits materials like nanoparticles, nanowires, and nanoscale membranes to achieve sensing, signal amplification, or actuation.

The principle behind nanotransduction involves the high surface-to-volume ratio of nanomaterials, which enables sensitive detection of mechanical, thermal, optical, or chemical stimuli.
