NHCOR

NHCOR, or the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China, is the principal government agency responsible for overseeing the health sector in China. Established in 2018, it replaced the National Health and Family Planning Commission, which had been in existence since 2002. NHCOR is headquartered in Beijing and is under the direct supervision of the State Council, the cabinet of the Chinese government.

The commission's primary responsibilities include formulating and implementing health policies, managing public health emergencies, and overseeing the development of the healthcare system.
