Mødedato

Mødedato is the date on which a meeting is scheduled to take place. In Danish, the term combines møde (meeting) and dato (date). In Norwegian and some other Scandinavian variants the corresponding term is møtedato or møtedatoen. The concept is used to identify when an event occurs and to coordinate attendance, agenda items, and record-keeping.

It appears on invitations, agendas (dagsorden), and minutes. It is often included at the top of a document along with the meeting location and time, and it may be written in local date formats, commonly day-month-year (for example 12.05.2025 or 12. maj 2025).

In formal settings such as corporate boards or public meetings, the mødedato is legally or procedurally significant because notice periods, quorum requirements, and the validity of decisions can depend on the date.

For organizers, the date helps align calendars, deadlines for submissions, and ensures that minutes accurately reflect when actions were approved.
