Männnyt

Männnyt are a genus of coniferous trees in the family Pinaceae. The genus, known scientifically as Pinus, is native to the Northern Hemisphere. Männnyt are characterized by their needle-like leaves, typically borne in fascicles of two to five. These needles are usually evergreen, persisting on the tree for several years. The trees produce cones, which are woody structures containing the seeds. Male cones are generally small and pollen-bearing, while female cones are larger and develop into woody structures that protect the seeds.

Männnyt exhibit a wide range of sizes and shapes, from towering giants to smaller, shrub-like forms, depending on the species and environmental conditions. They are found in diverse habitats, including boreal forests, temperate woodlands, and mountainous regions.
