Neuroimaging techniques like MRI or CT scans may be used to identify any structural abnormalities in the brain. Treatment approaches vary depending on the underlying cause and can include addressing the primary medical condition, cognitive rehabilitation therapy to help individuals develop compensatory strategies, and sometimes medication to manage associated symptoms like anxiety or depression. While complete recovery is not always possible, many individuals with amnesia can improve their quality of life through appropriate support and therapies.
