Common symptoms associated with kidney problems include changes in urination patterns, such as a frequent urge to urinate, difficulty urinating, or reduced urine output. Blood or foam in the urine can also be a sign of kidney damage. Swelling, particularly in the legs, ankles, and feet, known as edema, can occur when the kidneys are unable to effectively remove excess fluid from the body.

Other signs may include persistent fatigue, weakness, and a lack of energy, which can result from the buildup of toxins or anemia caused by reduced red blood cell production. Nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite are also possible indicators. Persistent itching, muscle cramps, and difficulty sleeping can also be linked to kidney dysfunction. In more severe cases, chest pain or shortness of breath might be present.
