Muistilaite

Muistilaite is a Finnish term that translates to "memory device" or "storage device" in English. It refers to any piece of hardware designed to store digital information. This broad category encompasses a wide range of technologies, from the internal components of a computer to external peripherals.

Internally, computers utilize RAM (Random Access Memory) for temporary, fast data storage during operation, and ROM (Read-Only Memory) for firmware. For long-term storage, most computers have internal hard disk drives (HDDs) or solid-state drives (SSDs). External muistilaitteet are commonly used for transferring data between devices, backing up information, or expanding storage capacity. Examples include USB flash drives, external hard drives, and memory cards used in cameras and mobile phones.
