Mosdólefolyók

Mosdólefolyók, often translated as sink drains or basin overflows, are an essential component of sanitary fixtures found in bathrooms and kitchens. Their primary function is to safely and efficiently carry wastewater away from the sink basin and into the plumbing system. A typical mosdólefolyó consists of a drain opening, a grate or stopper, and a connection to the trap and waste pipe below.

The design of mosdólefolyók can vary. Some feature a simple plug that is manually operated to open or close the drain, while others incorporate a pop-up mechanism activated by a lever or button. This allows for convenient control over water levels in the sink. Many sinks also include a secondary overflow opening, a small hole located near the top of the basin. Water entering this overflow channel typically drains through a separate tube that connects to the main waste pipe, often above the P-trap.
