MorgChapter

MorgChapter is a Scandinavian heavy metal music band from Norway that was active from 1997 to 2004. The band's music style is characterized as power metal with symphonic elements, and their lyrics primarily deal with Norse mythology and occultism.

MorgChapter's debut album, " Skygger av Natt," was released in 1998, followed by a second album, "Havets Dronning," in 1999. These albums showcased the band's blend of power metal and symphonic elements, with operatic vocals and guitar work reminiscent of power metal bands from the Scandinavian metal scene.

One of the band's defining characteristics was their vocalist, Wig W., who delivered powerful and distinctive vocals with a range of styles, from melodic clean vocals to harsh, anguished screams. The musician Bart Skarvaker handled bass duties and also provided backing vocals.

In 2000, MorgChapter released their third album, "Dronningens Gade." This album saw the band continue to evolve their sound, incorporating more complex song structures and experimenting with new instrumental textures. The band's music gained a loyal following in the Scandinavian power metal scene during the early 2000s.

MorgChapter's fourth and final album, "Draug," was released in 2002. The album showed the band delving further into the occult and Norse mythology themes, featuring detailed and atmospheric production.

The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2004, and although there have been statements about a potential reunion, nothing has been officially announced.
