Moremendore is a fictional city-state in the fantasy setting of Eldoria. It is depicted as a coastal port with a long mercantile tradition and a diverse population.

Moremendore sits on a sheltered gulf along the Serpent's Mouth coast. The harbor is deep and navigable, with marshlands to the west and a hillside quarter to the north. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and hot summers.

Founded in the medieval period as a trading post, Moremendore grew into a city-state governed by merchant families. It achieved de facto independence after regional powers waned, prospered through shipbuilding, glassmaking, and cross-sea trade, and ratified the Great Charter guaranteeing local governance.

The city is run by a Merchant Council, which elects a Spokesman to serve as chief magistrate for a five-year term. Guilds hold significant influence, and regional magistrates interpret law in their districts. A largely ceremonial Prince or Duke stands as head of state but wields limited political power.

Trade dominates Moremendore's economy. The harbor handles textiles, ceramics, timber, and spices, with shipbuilding and glass production forming major secondary industries. The city acts as a logistic hub connecting coastal towns with inland markets via river routes and caravan roads.

Moremendore is linguistically diverse, with a common commercial lingua franca and regional dialects. It is religiously plural, with tolerance toward multiple faiths. Public squares host markets, festivals, and debates, while guild apprenticeship programs sustain craft traditions.

Notable sites include the Spire Market, the Azure Gate, the Cloister of Records, and the Glasshouse Quarter.
