Morallaw

Morallaw refers to a system of normative principles considered binding on conduct, not necessarily tied to formal statutes. It denotes duties and rights that guide action, often described as what one ought to do, independently of whether a society has enacted it into law. In this sense, morallaw is distinct from positive law, which consists of rules enacted and enforced by a political authority.

In philosophy and theology, morallaw is discussed in several strands. Natural law theory holds that moral principles derive from human nature and the rational order of the world, and can be discerned through reason. Divine command theories attribute moral law to the will of a deity. In Kantian ethics, the moral law is an intrinsic rational requirement inside rational agents, articulated through the Categorical Imperative, which dictates duties applicable to all rational beings regardless of circumstance.
