Moottoriteknologiat refer to the various methods and systems used to convert energy into mechanical motion. Turbine engines, such as jet engines and gas turbines, are a type of heat engine that uses a continuous flow of hot gas to spin a turbine, generating thrust or rotational power.

Other emerging motor technologies include fuel cells, which generate electricity through electrochemical reactions, and various forms of renewable energy conversion systems that aim to harness natural forces like wind or water for mechanical work. The ongoing development in motor technologies focuses on improving efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and increasing power density.
