Moorah is a small locality in the state of South Australia. It is situated in the Mount Barker Council area, approximately 73 kilometers southeast of the state capital, Adelaide. Geographically, Moorah is surrounded by rolling hills and farmland, providing a picturesque backdrop to the area.

The name "Moorah" is believed to be derived from a local Aboriginal word, meaning "place of wild parrots." The settlement's closest significant urban center is the Mount Barker town, approximately 20 kilometers to the southwest. As a result, many residents commute to Mount Barker for work and shopping.
