Monoesteriyhdisteitä

Monoesteriyhdisteitä refers to chemical compounds that contain a single ester functional group. An ester is a molecule in which an alkyl or aryl group is bonded to an oxygen atom, which is in turn bonded to a carbonyl carbon atom. The general formula for an ester is RCOOR', where R and R' represent alkyl or aryl groups. In monoesteriyhdisteitä, there is only one such RCOOR' group within the entire molecule.
