Moldavisch

Moldavisch is the German adjective and demonym associated with Moldova. It is used to describe the country, its inhabitants, language as historically named in German, and cultural or geographic aspects connected with Moldova. In German, Moldau (the country) is often Moldawien, while Moldavisch refers more to things relating to Moldova. The term can be distinguished from Rumänisch (Romanian) in discussions of language or history.

Moldova is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, bordered by Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east and south. Its capital and largest city is Chișinău. Moldova declared independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.
