Modulatsioonide, also known as modulation techniques, refer to methods used in electronic communication systems to encode information onto a carrier signal for transmission. These techniques are essential in ensuring efficient and accurate data transfer over various media such as radio waves, optical fibers, and cables.

The primary purpose of modulation is to adapt the information signal—such as voice, video, or data—to suitable frequencies that can be transmitted over a communication channel. It also helps in multiplexing multiple signals, reducing interference, and improving signal quality.

There are several common types of modulation, each suited to different applications. Amplitude Modulation (AM) varies the amplitude of the carrier wave in proportion to the message signal. Frequency Modulation (FM) changes the frequency of the carrier in accordance with the information signal, providing resilience against signal amplitude variations. Phase Modulation (PM) adjusts the phase of the carrier wave based on the input signal.

Digital modulation techniques, such as Phase Shift Keying (PSK), Frequency Shift Keying (FSK), and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM), encode binary data into changes in phase, frequency, or amplitude, respectively. These methods are widely used in digital communication systems, including wireless networks and satellite communications.
