Modeemiyhteyksillä is a Finnish term that translates to "with modem connections" or "using modem connections." It refers to a method of accessing the internet or other networks that relies on a modem. A modem, which is a contraction of "modulator-demodulator," is a hardware device that converts digital signals from a computer into analog signals that can be transmitted over telephone lines or cable lines, and vice versa. Historically, dial-up modems were a common way for individuals and businesses to connect to the internet. These modems would dial a phone number to establish a connection. While less common today due to the advent of faster broadband technologies, modem connections played a crucial role in the early development of widespread internet access.
