MilliporeSigma is the North American brand of Merck KGaA's Life Science business, a global provider of products and services for the life sciences industry. The brand emerged from the 2015 merger of Millipore and Sigma-Aldrich, following Merck KGaA's acquisition of Sigma-Aldrich. In the United States and Canada, the combined business is marketed under the MilliporeSigma name, while in many other regions the business operates under the Merck or Merck KGaA life science banner.

The company supplies laboratory reagents, cell culture and molecular biology products, antibodies, assay kits, and a broad range of lab essentials, as well as equipment and systems for analytical chemistry, chromatography, filtration, and bioprocessing. It serves customers in academia, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, and government, offering technical support, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards such as GMP and ISO.

History notes: The Sigma-Aldrich acquisition closed in 2015; Millipore and Sigma-Aldrich product lines were integrated under MilliporeSigma in 2016. The Merck KGaA Life Science business operates separately from the company’s consumer health and pharmaceuticals divisions and competes with other large scientific suppliers, such as Thermo Fisher Scientific, across global markets.
