Millimolareita

Millimolareita is a Finnish term that translates to "millimolarities" in English. It refers to concentrations of substances expressed in millimolar units, where one millimolar (mM) is equal to one-thousandth of a molar (M). A molar solution represents one mole of solute dissolved in one liter of solution. Therefore, a millimolar solution contains one-thousandth of a mole of solute per liter.

This unit of concentration is commonly used in chemistry, biochemistry, and medicine, particularly when dealing with solutions that have very low concentrations of active compounds. For example, the concentration of many drugs in biological fluids, or the concentration of ions in cellular environments, are often measured in millimolar or even micromolar (µM) units.
