Millikani

Millikani is a rural municipality in the fictional country of Valoria. It is situated on the eastern plains along the banks of the River Elen and is linked to larger towns by a regional road network. The municipality covers about 18 square kilometers and had an estimated population of 2,350 in 2022. The name is thought to derive from an old valley language term meaning "bright water."

Millikani grew as an agricultural community in the 18th and 19th centuries, with grain farming and dairy production forming the backbone of the economy. In the 20th century a small cooperative and craft workshops emerged, diversifying local employment. Today, farming remains central, complemented by agro-processing and small service enterprises.

The municipality is governed by a locally elected council and a mayor, and it forms part of Valoria's regional district. Local budgets prioritize road maintenance, irrigation systems, and public services such as waste collection and health outreach.

Demographically, the population is predominantly rural, with long-standing families and a steady inflow of younger residents attracted to the area's schools and markets. The town hosts an annual harvest festival and preserves a parish church dating to the early 19th century, both central to local identity.

There is one primary school and a small secondary campus shared with neighboring areas. Public transport is limited to a weekly regional bus service, while most residents travel by car or bicycle.
