Microïds is a French video game developer and publisher. Founded in 1985 by the brothers Benoît and Caroline Sokal, the company is headquartered in Paris. Initially, Microïds focused on developing games for home computers, gaining recognition for titles like "L'Arche du Captain Kowalski" and "Dracula". The company later expanded its operations to include publishing and distribution.

In the early 2000s, Microïds achieved significant success with its adventure game series, particularly "Syberia," which was critically acclaimed for its atmospheric storytelling and detailed graphics.
