Micellecontaining
Micelle-containing is a term used to describe formulations or solutions in which micelles are present. Micelles are nanoscale aggregates formed by amphiphilic surfactant molecules in which hydrophobic tails are sequestered in a central core and hydrophilic heads face the surrounding water. They typically form when the surfactant concentration exceeds the critical micelle concentration (CMC), and they can persist in aqueous environments or in certain nonpolar solvents under appropriate conditions.
Micelles can arise from ionic (anionic or cationic), nonionic, or zwitterionic surfactants, and can also form
Applications of micelle-containing formulations include cleaning products, personal care items, and various drug-delivery or topical formulations.
