The MiG-25RB, often referred to by its NATO reporting name "Foxbat-B", was a reconnaissance variant of the Soviet MiG-25 interceptor aircraft. Developed in the late 1960s, it was designed to perform high-speed, high-altitude photographic and electronic intelligence gathering missions. The RB variant retained the powerful Tumansky R-15 turbojet engines of the original MiG-25, allowing it to reach speeds in excess of Mach 3 and altitudes above 70,000 feet.
