Mernda is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located about 23 kilometers north-east of the Melbourne central business district, in the City of Whittlesea. It is part of Melbourne's northern growth corridor and has experienced rapid residential development since the early 2010s.

The area sits on land traditionally inhabited by the Wurundjeri people and developed from farmland and rural settlements before suburban expansion took hold. In 2012, the railway line was extended from South Morang to Mernda, providing direct rail access to Melbourne’s city centre. Today, Mernda is served by Mernda railway station and a network of bus routes linking residents to surrounding suburbs and facilities.
