MelanAderived

MelanAderived refers to peptides or protein fragments that are obtained from the melanoma antigen A (Melan-A), also known as melanoma antigen recognized by T cells 1 (MART-1). Melan-A is a melanocytic differentiation protein that is highly expressed in melanocytes and many melanoma tumors but rarely found in normal adult tissues. Because of this restricted expression pattern, Melan-A has become one of the most studied targets for cancer immunotherapy.

The name MelanAderived is often used in the context of vaccine development and adoptive T‑cell therapy.
