Megakariopoézu
Megakariopoézu refers to the process of megakaryocyte development and maturation. Megakaryocytes are large bone marrow cells that are essential for producing platelets, also known as thrombocytes. This complex process begins with a hematopoietic stem cell, which differentiates into a megakaryocyte progenitor. Through a series of stages, includingendomitosis, where DNA replication occurs without cell division, the megakaryocyte precursor undergoes significant growth in size and nuclear content.
The mature megakaryocyte is characterized by its large, multi-lobed nucleus and abundant cytoplasm filled with granules.
