Marruttunut

Marruttunut is a Finnish word that describes a state of being withered, shriveled, or dried up. It is commonly used to describe organic matter, such as plants or fruits, that have lost their moisture and become desiccated. For instance, a plant that has not been watered sufficiently may become marruttunut, with its leaves drooping and its stems becoming brittle. Similarly, an overripe fruit might shrivel and become marruttunut.
