Markkinavääryntämisasetus
Markkinavääryntämisasetus, officially Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 on market abuse, is a piece of European Union legislation designed to ensure the integrity of financial markets across the EU. It replaced the earlier Market Abuse Directive and aims to prevent, detect, and punish market abuse. The regulation applies to a wide range of financial instruments admitted to trading or traded on regulated markets, MTFs, and OTFs, as well as those whose price depends on such instruments.
Key objectives of the Markkinavääryntämisasetus include enhancing market transparency, preventing insider dealing, and prohibiting unlawful disclosure
