Manzini

Manzini is the second-largest city in Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland. It is located in the Manzini District, which is the most populous of the country's four administrative regions. Manzini is situated in the heart of the country's agricultural and industrial hub, in the center of the vast Mankayane Valley. The city serves as the commercial and industrial capital of Eswatini. Its economy is driven by agriculture, manufacturing, and trade.

The city's history is intertwined with the development of Eswatini. It was formerly known as Bremersdorp until 1962, when it was renamed in honor of King Sobhuza II's grandfather, Mbabane, the first king of Eswatini. Manzini is a major transportation nexus, with the MR8 and MR16 highways intersecting within the city, facilitating movement across the country. The King Shaka International Airport, the country's primary international airport, is located approximately 10 kilometers east of Manzini.

Manzini is a vibrant cultural center, hosting various festivals and events throughout the year. The city is home to the Bhunu Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in Eswatini, offering a wide range of retail outlets and entertainment options. The city also boasts several educational institutions, including Manzini Central High School and the William Pitcher Teachers College.
