Manufacturingújragranuláció, a term meaning "manufacturing regranulation" in Hungarian, refers to the process of reprocessing manufacturing waste materials, typically plastics, into a usable granular form. This practice is a key component of industrial recycling and the circular economy, aiming to reduce waste, conserve resources, and lower production costs.

The regranulation process typically involves several stages. First, post-industrial waste, such as production scrap, trimmings, or rejected parts, is collected. This material is then cleaned to remove contaminants like dirt, labels, or other foreign substances. Following cleaning, the waste is shredded or ground into smaller pieces to facilitate melting and further processing. The ground material is then fed into an extruder, where it is melted and homogenized. As the molten plastic exits the extruder, it is cooled and cut into small pellets or granules.

These regranulated materials can then be reintroduced into the manufacturing process, often blended with virgin raw materials. The quality and properties of the regranulated plastic depend on the type of polymer, the cleanliness of the initial waste, and the precision of the regranulation process. This method is particularly prevalent in the plastics industry, where it allows manufacturers to create new products from their own internal waste streams, thereby improving sustainability and economic efficiency.
