Malsch

Malsch is a municipality in the district of Karlsruhe in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located approximately 15 kilometers south of Karlsruhe and 12 kilometers northwest of Bruchsal. The municipality comprises the main town of Malsch and the formerly independent villages of Sulzbach, Waldprechtsweier, and Völkersbach.

The history of Malsch dates back to at least the 12th century. Archaeological findings suggest settlement in the area much earlier. Over the centuries, Malsch experienced periods of development and change, often linked to its proximity to larger administrative centers and its agricultural landscape. The incorporation of the surrounding villages into Malsch occurred in stages during the 20th century, creating the modern administrative structure.
