Maksatus

Maksatus is a term used in Estonian and Finnish to denote the act of paying or the payment itself. The word derives from the verb maksma (Estonian) or maksaa (Finnish), meaning to pay. In everyday use it can refer to the payment event, a scheduled disbursement, or the settlement of an obligation.

In payroll and human resources, maksatus refers to the process of transferring wages to employees, typically on a regular pay cycle.
