The reticular pattern refers to the arrangement of cells or fibers in a net-like or mesh-like structure. When this pattern is described as makroretikulaarinen, it indicates that the spaces within the net are relatively large and the intervening strands are thicker compared to a microretikulaarinen pattern, which would have smaller spaces and finer strands.

This term is most commonly encountered in the context of pathology, particularly in the examination of lymph nodes, bone marrow, or other tissues where a reticular network is a normal or pathological component.
