Makrodendro
Makrodendro is a genus of extinct coniferous trees that lived during the Carboniferous period. These ancient plants are notable for their massive size and unique branching structure, hence the name which derives from Greek words meaning "large tree." Fossil evidence suggests that Makrodendro trees could reach heights of over 30 meters, with trunks that were several meters in diameter. Their bark was typically thick and ridged, providing protection and support.
