Maasin

Maasin is a second-class municipality in the province of Southern Leyte, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 61,230 people. The municipality covers a total area of 179 square kilometers, which accounts for approximately 23.6% of the province's total land area.

Geographically, Maasin is situated on the southern coast of Southern Leyte, bounded by the towns of Hinunangan and Silago to the east, and the municipality of Bontoc to the north. It is also part of the Leyte Gulf coastal section. The city's climate is characterized as tropical rainforest, with an average temperature of 22-31 degrees Celsius throughout the year.
