MMAPA
MMAPA stands for the Michigan Medical Marihuana Processing Act. This legislation, passed by the Michigan Legislature and signed into law in 2008, established a framework for the legal cultivation, processing, and distribution of marijuana for medical purposes within the state. It followed the voter initiative Medical Marihuana Act of 2008.
The MMAPA allows qualifying patients with debilitating medical conditions to obtain a physician's recommendation for marijuana.
The Act also permits the establishment of marihuana Safety Compliance Facilities (MSCFs) and marihuana dispensaries. These
