MIDIcontrolled refers to a system or device that operates or is manipulated using MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) signals. MIDI is a technical standard that allows electronic instruments, computers, and related devices to communicate with each other. When something is MIDIcontrolled, it means that specific MIDI messages are sent to it, and in response, it performs actions such as playing notes, changing parameters, or controlling its playback.

In the context of music production and performance, MIDIcontrolled devices can range from synthesizers and drum machines to lighting rigs and special effects generators.
