MHDmallien is a Finnish term that translates to "MHD flyer" or "MHD shuttle." It refers to a type of aircraft or vehicle designed to operate using magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). MHD is a field of physics that studies the dynamics of electrically conducting fluids, such as plasma, in the presence of magnetic fields. In the context of aerospace, MHD propulsion would theoretically use electromagnetic forces to accelerate a working fluid, like ionized air, to generate thrust.

The concept of MHD propulsion has been explored for decades, particularly for applications in high-speed flight. The theoretical advantage of MHD is the absence of moving parts in the propulsion system, which could lead to greater reliability and reduced maintenance compared to conventional jet engines or rocket motors.
