Müüjaid

Müüjaid is the Estonian plural form of the noun müüja, meaning sellers or vendors. The form müüjaid is used when referring to multiple sellers, often in a partitive sense as the object of an action or description, for example in phrases like “müüjaid turul” or “rahvusvahelised müüjaid.”

A müüja is any person or organization that offers goods or services for sale to customers. Sellers can operate in a variety of settings, including physical stores, markets, wholesalers, and online platforms. They determine prices, prepare product information, manage inventory, and provide customer service, payments, and after-sales support. Sellers serve as the interface between producers and consumers and play a crucial role in conveying product value and enabling transactions.

Some müüjaid are permanent businesses, while others are temporary street vendors or market traders. Regulatory considerations for sellers include consumer protection and contract laws, product labeling and safety requirements, pricing rules, and tax obligations such as value-added tax. Online sellers must also comply with data privacy and electronic payment regulations, and may be bound by platform policies on marketplaces.
